My Priorities as Trustee

Stronger Academics and Math Foundations
Academic excellence starts with strong basics.

I will advocate for clear expectations, early intervention, better tracking of student progress, and a renewed focus on math, literacy, science, and problem-solving. Every child deserves a strong foundation before they are moved ahead.

Faster Support for Students Who Need Help

Students with special needs, learning gaps, mental health challenges, or attendance concerns need support as early as possible.

I will push for clearer processes, better communication with families, and practical steps to reduce delays so students are not left waiting while problems grow.

Transparent and Fair Programs

Families deserve to understand how decisions are made.

I will advocate for clearer communication and more objective processes in areas such as gifted programming, special education supports, school improvement plans, and student achievement reporting.

Respect for Parents

Parents are the primary guides in their children’s lives.

I believe schools should communicate clearly, respect family boundaries, and treat parents as true partners. Strong schools are built when families and educators work together with trust and respect.

Future-Ready Learning

Students need practical skills for the world beyond school.

I will support stronger financial literacy, AI readiness, digital literacy, modern career counselling, skilled trades awareness, entrepreneurship exposure, and real-world learning opportunities.

Safe, Respectful Schools

No child should feel unsafe at school.

I will support clear action against bullying, hate, harassment, and intimidation. Schools must be places where students feel safe, respected, and able to focus on learning.
